Legal
Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
ScanForLeads is built for agencies and sales teams in the United States and Europe (local business discovery, website checks, CSV export). These terms govern your use of the service. Our operator is an EU-based company; privacy and consumer rights below apply based on where you live (for example GDPR in the EEA/UK, and mandatory US state privacy rules where they apply to you).
1. Who the service is for
ScanForLeads is marketed and operated for customers in the United States and the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and other supported regions shown in the product (for example US city and neighborhood search). It is not limited to any single country's market. You are responsible for complying with local laws when you use exported leads (for example US telemarketing, email, and state privacy rules, or EU/UK GDPR and ePrivacy when contacting businesses).

3. Acceptance of terms
By accessing scanforleads.com, creating an account, signing in, or running scans, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms govern your use of the ScanForLeads web application, including account access, credit-based scanning, storage of scan history and lead tables, exports, and any related support we provide.
4. Privacy policy and information collection
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This section explains how personally identifiable information (PII) may be collected and used. PII is information that can identify, contact, or locate you.
What we may collect
- Email address used for sign-in and service communications
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps
- Scan parameters you submit (for example business type, city, neighborhoods, and selected website items)
- Outputs of scans (business names, URLs, contact fields, item scores, and similar lead data) stored in your account
- Cookies and similar technologies needed for sessions, security, and basic analytics
Processors (see Section 15): payment, email, hosting, maps/data, website fetch, and AI analysis providers act on our instructions to deliver the service.
When we collect it
- When you request a login code or verify your email
- When you configure and run a scan
- When you use the site interface (including CSV export or deleting rows)
How we use it
- To operate authentication, credits, and scan processing
- To store your cumulative lead table and scan history associated with your account
- To respond to support requests and enforce these Terms
- To improve reliability, security, and product quality
Lead and third-party data
Scan results may include information about third-party businesses obtained from public or licensed sources used by the product. You are responsible for your own compliance when you contact or market to those businesses.
5. Cookies policy
We use cookies and similar technologies where needed for account sessions, security, and understanding how the service is used.
- Session and authentication cookies
- Preference cookies where applicable
- Analytics cookies if enabled in configuration
You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the service (especially sign-in) may stop working correctly.
6. License to use the website
Unless otherwise stated, we and/or our licensors own intellectual property rights in the website and software. You may use the interface for your own internal business purposes subject to these Terms.
You must not republish, sell, rent, sublicense, scrape, or redistribute the service or its outputs in a way that competes with the service, bypasses access controls, or violates applicable law.
7. AI disclosure and transparency
ScanForLeads uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related automation in parts of the scanning and analysis pipeline. AI outputs can be imperfect. You should verify important facts before relying on them in commercial decisions.
8. Service description (what you are buying)
ScanForLeads is a software service for local business research: you buy credits, run scans in the web app, and receive analyzed business leads in your account table (with CSV export). One credit typically corresponds to one delivered, analyzed lead as shown in the product at the time of the scan.
We help you find and evaluate prospects based on public website signals. We do not guarantee sales, replies, appointments, rankings, or revenue. Results depend on your market, offer, and outreach.
Features, limits, supported regions, and availability may change. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, payment processor rules, or operations.
9. User obligations
You agree to provide accurate information where requested, keep access to your account secure, and not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data. When you export or contact leads, you must comply with laws that apply to you and your targets, including (where relevant) US rules on commercial email and calls, state privacy laws, and EU/UK GDPR and marketing rules for business outreach.
10. Credits (balance), expiration, and non-cash nature
The service operates on a credit model (typically priced in USD on the website): credits are consumed when billable analyzed leads are delivered according to the rules shown in the product.
- Starter credits: New accounts may receive a small number of free credits (shown in the product) so you can try a scan. Promotional credits do not create a payment obligation.
- No expiration: Purchased or granted credits remain on your account until they are used for eligible billable deliveries, unless we terminate the service or your account under these Terms, or a different written agreement explicitly states otherwise.
- No cash value, no redemption, no exchange for money: Credits are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and have no cash value. Credits are not redeemable for cash or cash equivalents, are not exchangeable for currency, bank transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or any payment method, and are not transferable between users unless we explicitly allow it in writing.
- No payout on closure: If you stop using the service or we close your account for a permitted reason, unused credits are forfeited and are not paid out, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires a different outcome.
11. Payments and taxes
Paid credit packs are shown on the website in USD. Each pack adds a stated number of credits to your account. Purchases may be completed manually during early access or through Stripe Checkout when enabled. The checkout page shows the pack, price, and currency before you pay. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or similar charges are shown where required. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to card processing. EU business customers may provide a valid VAT ID where applicable.
12. Refund policy
We want fair billing. This policy is shown for payment partners (including Stripe) and for your peace of mind.
- Unused purchased credits: If you bought a credit pack and have not used any credits from that purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of payment by emailing info@scanforleads.com with your account email and order reference.
- After use: Once any credit from a pack has been consumed for a delivered lead, that pack is treated as used digital service; remaining credits in the pack are not refundable except where the law requires it.
- Failed scans: Credits are not charged for unreachable sites or failed audits as described in the product; you do not need a refund for those cases.
- How refunds are paid: Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible, usually within 5–10 business days.
- Contact first: For billing mistakes or service issues, email us before opening a card dispute so we can fix it quickly.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights in your country.
13. EEA/UK right of withdrawal (if applicable)
If you are a consumer in the EEA or United Kingdom, local law may give you a short period to cancel a distance purchase. Digital services that start immediately at your request may be an exception. If you believe this applies to you, contact us at info@scanforleads.com and we will handle your request in line with applicable law.
14. Customer support (contact us first)
We handle problems directly and quickly. Email info@scanforleads.com with your account email, a short description of the issue, and any relevant screenshots or order references. We aim to reply within 2 business days and resolve billing or access issues within 14 days where possible.
If you paid through Stripe and have a billing concern, contact us first so we can correct it before any card dispute. EU consumers who need an official out-of-court channel may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform; using it is optional.
15. Service providers (sub-processors)
To run ScanForLeads we use trusted infrastructure and API providers, including hosting, email delivery (for login codes), payment processing (Stripe), maps/business data sources, website fetching, and AI analysis. They process data only as needed to provide the service, under contractual safeguards where applicable. We do not sell your personal information.
16. Data protection and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (access controls, HTTPS, session security). We retain account and scan data while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, and security purposes, then delete or anonymize where appropriate.
17. Your privacy rights (contact us first)
Email info@scanforleads.com for any privacy request. We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days for GDPR requests).
- All users: You may ask what we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your account data, or object to certain processing where the law allows.
- EEA/UK: You have GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdraw consent where processing is consent-based).
- United States: If a state privacy law applies to you (for example in California), you may have rights to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold about you.
EEA/UK users: TecAdRise is the data controller (EU establishment address in Section 2). European privacy law includes a standard right to contact a data protection authority; we mention this only because the law requires it. Please contact us first so we can resolve your request. If needed, you may also contact your national authority or the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) member authorities in your country.
If we suffer a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you and authorities as required by law.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the service, scan results, third-party outages, or AI inaccuracies.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, the country where TecAdRise is established, without limiting mandatory consumer or privacy laws in your country of residence (including US state law and EU/UK consumer law where they apply to you).
For B2B users, courts in Poland may have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Consumers in the US, EEA, UK, or elsewhere keep any non-waivable rights under their local law, including access to courts or dispute schemes where required.
